The Prayer Breakfast meeting, lead by Rev. John Nuttall,  is held every Saturday morning commencing at 8:30am at St. Stephen's Church. The menu consists of toasted crumpets, bread or fruit loaf, and a cup of tea or coffee. After  catching up on the events of the past week, prayer time commences. There is no pressure on anyone to pray, however the big plus is the fellowship that is enjoyed by all who attend. If you like to attend you will be made very welcome.

The Little Fish Playgroup, (for pre-school children),  is held on Monday and Wednesday mornings during school terms and commences at 9:30am at the St. Stephen's Church Hall in George Street East Maitland, (just down from the church). Miss Linda Begg is the co-ordinator of the playgroup. Linda can be contacted on  49336826 if you have any enquiries or you can simply just turn up at the church hall on Wednesday mornings if you would like to see what happens.

Parents and children who regularly attend the Playgroup comment on how much they enjoy themselves for the 2 to 3 hours that the Playgroup operates. It is a relaxed atmosphere with the activities for the children well organised. Linda has three to four helpers who are qualified to work with children enabling the parents of the children to do whatever errands that are required to be done or they can have some fellowship with other parents. visit the website https://littlefishplaygrou.wixsite.com/littlefishplaygroup

The St. Stephen's Church Choir under the expert guidance of Mrs Lyn Brattan perform on a regular basis for the St. Stephen's Church congregation as well as other organisations. In 2016, the Choir reached new heights, receiving and award for their music and performances and also recording a Christmas CD. The members of the Choir are very warmly received by all who hear them and are an asset to the church, not only for the hard work of the ladies themselves, but also the skill level of Lyn's guidance. Anyone wishing to join the Choir are most welcome.

PWA

The Presbyterian Women's Association (PWA) are a group of ladies dedicated to their cause in helping others. They conduct fundraising activities during the year and have given financial support to a number of organisations. Examples such as brain cancer and cancer research at the Mater Hospital, parents with terminally ill children as well as distributing small gifts to hospital patients and nursing homes.

A lot of time and hard work is required for the fundraising activities that the  PWA ladies organise. Members of the PWA also help out with the Opportunity Shop as well as serving in various ways in the life of the church.

Sunday School

image38

St. Stephen's Church Hall is the location for the Sunday School. Unfortunately currently the Sunday School does not operate due to the lack of school children attending . We welcome children who are willing to hear the good news stories of the life of Jesus Christ, from the proverbs and the parables and the messages that God desired us to have. Qualified members of the church with working with children certification will provide the teaching and activities during Sunday School.

With the success of the Little Fish Playgroup, we would welcome children to attend our Sunday School who would be guaranteed a great time with lots of fun and activities learning about Jesus Christ.
